Creating a Bill

Tap the + button on the dashboard, enter the amount, select participants and choose how to split — equally, by percentage or exact amounts.

Creating Groups

Go to Groups tab → Create Group → Add members via phone number or from contacts. All group bills are tracked together automatically.

Open a bill or go to a friend's profile → tap Settle Up → confirm the amount. The bill is marked as paid and balances update instantly.

Is Chippy Split really free forever?

Yes — the core app is free forever with no expense limits, no daily cooldowns and no ads. Analytics Plus is an optional ₹29/month upgrade for advanced spending insights.
How do I cancel my Analytics Plus subscription?

On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Chippy Split → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions → Chippy Split → Cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund for my subscription?

Refunds are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) directly. On iOS visit reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android contact Google Play support. You can also email us at support@chippysplit.com and we'll assist.
How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, bills you created and personal data from our servers. This action cannot be undone. Group bills where others participated will retain anonymised records for other members.
I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

Check that notifications are enabled for Chippy Split in your device Settings → Notifications. Also ensure you have a stable internet connection. If the issue persists, log out and back in to re-register your device token.
Why can't I find my friend on Chippy Split?

Your friend needs to have signed up with the same phone number you have saved for them. Ask them to register and then try again. You can also add them manually by phone number and send an invite directly from the app.
The app is crashing. What should I do?

First try force-closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, update to the latest version from the App Store or Play Store. Still crashing? Email us at support@chippysplit.com with your device model and OS version and we'll investigate immediately.
My bills are not syncing across devices.

Ensure you are logged in with the same phone number on both devices and have an active internet connection. Pull down on the dashboard to force a refresh. If data is still missing please contact support immediately — your data is safe on our servers.
