Basic stuff to make the app work:

• 📧 Email — to log you in
• 👤 Name — so your friends know it's you
• 📱 Phone — optional, for easy friend adding
• 📇 Contacts — only if you grant permission, to help find friends

Real talk — here's what we use your data for:

• ✅ Make the bill-splitting actually work
• ✅ Help you find your group
• ✅ Send you important notifications about bills
• ✅ Make the app better over time (anonymised analytics only)

We're not trying to track you or sell you stuff. Promise. 🤝

Only the essentials:

• 🔥 Firebase — Google's secure cloud infrastructure that powers our backend
• 👥 Your friends — only the people you split bills with see relevant bill info
• ⚖️ Law enforcement — only if legally required, and we'll tell you if we can

Easy — two ways to do it:

• Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the app
• Or email us at support@chippysplit.com and we'll handle it

We'll remove all your data within 30 days. No questions asked. 🚮

We use industry-standard encryption and Firebase's built-in security rules. Your data is locked down tight. 🛡️

Real talk though: nothing on the internet is 100% bulletproof. We do our absolute best and follow security best practices throughout.

You must be 13 years or older to use Chippy Split. Some regions require a higher minimum age — check your local laws. If you're younger, ask your parents first!

If we update this policy, we'll notify you via in-app notification and email for any significant changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.

Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
